Trail closures

On Dec. 20, Herrick Lake Forest Preserve will begin a major restoration project. The trail will close between the Warrenville Road spur and the intersection with the Danada-Herrick Lake Regional Trail. The Danada-Herrick Lake Trail will remain open, but the Green Heron trail will be closed for the duration of the project. Signs will be posted to notify visitors of the closure. Trail closures may also occur at other times throughout the year.
